My Liverpool trip - Day 2 (late afternoon and evening) - St- George's Quarter - St. George's Hall; dinner at a Turkish restaurant at the Seven Street's Quarter - The 27th of November 2015

Saint George's Hall was artistically decorated on its outside façade as a remembrance of the World War's trenches.

Once we walked into its great Hall the gilded ceilings, the porphyry arcades and the tile floor were dazzling. Charles Dickens is said to have read extracts from his latest novels there but the site is also remembered as having been scene to many a murder trial.

It was quite dark as we made our way back onto the Seven Streets' Quarter so as to have dinner at a Turkish restaurant reputed for its well prepared food (which we confirmed to be even better than we had been told), just a few minutes away from our hotel.
