As we went across the street to talk to Edgar we noticed acharming house with quite a few signs and sculptures I couldn't resist taking photos of, mainly because of the meaning behind them. Dyslexia is something we aren't commonly aware of and certainly not the implications around it.
We then made our way into the city centre, having passed a number of Provincial Council buildings pertaining to the number of buildings designed by the architect Benjamin Mountfort, which were easily identified as some of the finest examples of the secular Gothic architecture as the ones found in the Arts Centre and considered as a Unesco world heritage designated site. The tram reminded me of Lisbon and the city trams.

We soon reached the Bridge of Remembrance - a stone archway commemorating the gunners from Canterbury who served in World Wars I and II and the subsequent conflicts and a little but further on Colombo street and the City Mall pedestrian precinct area with a number of street Art paintings.
Most of the Food Court restaurants were closed because of the event of the previous day but we still managed to find one open that served quite cheap and very good meals. On the way back to the hotel we still passed by a number of wall covered Street Art type of paintings, some of which were very impressive, whether it was because of the selected theme or the paintings themselves.
