Isfahan, Iran - Day 9 - At the Abassi Hotel gardens - Lunch and afternoon with Merri - The flight back home - The 24th of August 2019

The last day was spent as many of the previous days - just strolling around and getting together with people we hadn't yet had the opportunity to spend time with. Once we were close to the Abassi Hotel, we ventured into its gardens so as to have a drink and take advantage of the old caravanserai premises.

There was a problem with the Café restaurant not being open, so we just went across the street to a little Café hidden between some sets of stairs that proved to be rather special, not only because of the creative way in which the owner took advantage of the limited space but also because of the taste of the herbal tea.

On a shop window a complete course for Portuguese learning in 30 days ... I then wished I could find a similar course for Farsi that would take me along a learning journey of that nature and actually work.

We met with Mustafa and his cousine Merri for lunch and ended up spending the rest of the afternoon with her like old school mates telling and listening to stories. We gained some further insight as to what being a divorced lady is like in Iran among other interesting social aspects associated with the Iranian type of life.

Before we collected our luggage we decided to spend our last rials at a café around the Mirdamad street before we were driven to Mustafa's for a light dinner prior to our late evening-early morning flight back home.

Our two weeks had come to an end but memories would certainly linger on as they always seem to. Iran has been a part of my life in the last few years and I do hope it continues to do so.
