The 6 day trip to Denmark and the United Kingdom - the afternoon of the first day - Copenhagen's Sand Sculpture Festival (cont.) - the 19th of June 2012

(...)

My attention was particularly drawn to those sculptures highlighting facial expressions and body language, irrespective of the fact that I did genuinely like all the sculptures being exhibited ... and it is not that I consider "expressing" feelings and moods may be more difficult than getting "proportions" right like in the "Copenhagen" sand sculpture ... it is just that human characters ... do appeal to me (in almost every circumstance).

"Save the Ocean - The little Mermaid says: save our Ocean, save our Globe" - Sudarsan Pattnaik (India)

"Fertility and Diversity (from the Bible" - Pavel Mylnikov (Russia)

"Bob Atisso (Togo)

Guy- Olivier Deveneau (Canada)

"The present" - Damien van der Velden (The Netherlands)

"Movement in the key of he" - Fergus Mulvany (Ireland)

I wish we had had more time and we might have "played" at the special play area "for children and young at hearts" within the premises of Ofelia beach allocated for this event ...

  1. For a moment I imagined that these superb sculptures come alive by proclaiming his entire existence. It would be fantastic if it did!

But ... it was only a moment!
