Italy over Carnival - last night at La Corte di Stelio - The 24th of February 2020

We reached Pisa late in the evening and soon headed towards the airport neighbourhood, more precisely to La Corte di Stelio hotel. We had chosen it because of the airport proximity, once we had very early flights both to Portugal and the UK.

The former  18th century farmhouse adapted to a bed and breakfast type of accommodation was fairly unique in terms of decoration, particularly the kichen and dining area. The bedroom I was given had the name of a family member who had previously occupied the space and so there was some sort of history embedded in those walls.

We all felt it might have been worth staying for a longer period of time because we  instantaneously felt some sort of connection to that family house, despite having stayed over less than eight hours.
