The 7 day circuit in Panama - Day 5 (morning) - On the way to Chorro el Macho; El Valle de Antón; the French cemetry - The 25th of April 2018

We made it to the Chorro el Macho hiking along fairly well organised rainforest trails till we reached a small waterfall believed to be blessed, as well as a rocky swimming pool fed by river water which many of us felt like literally walking into. The whole surrounding atmosphere was one of calm and undeniable beauty.

Lunch and part of the early afternoon were spent at a small village called el Valle de Antón, located on an inactive volcano crater, where many of us ventured into the well known handicraft market. I did buy quite a few things, from the typical "mollas" and local dresses to decorative wooden painted plates.

On the way to Panama city we briefly stopped at an artist who fabricates typical tables made out of endemic wooden twigs. He was unfortunately out but Robin took the time to tell us  how this artistry is carried out.

Approaching the city we briefly stopped at the French cemetry under the request of my French travelling companions.
