Summer English Course (short duration) for 5 - 8 year olds from Santa Maria island, Azores -The 6th and 7th of August 2014 (cont)

(...)

As far as the smaller children are concerned there was no problem as to which roles they would be playing in the adapted theatrical piece of the Three little pigs. They all seemed quite happy. One of the boys whom we had initially thought of to play the role of the wolf but whose mood was quite fluctuating humbly accepted that he'd rather be doing the sounds as he didn't feel prepared to play the part.

They were very enthusiastic during the rehearsal and took the whole approach to the theatre very seriously, wanting to go over the parts in which they didn't feel at ease.

We soon let them do their artistic works, once they wanted to have at least two of those in the exhibition similarly to the older children, many of whom were their siblings.

We were astounded with their level of commitment. The quality some of them managed to bring into their artistic pieces speaks for itself. I could clearly see they were happy and proud of what they had achieved, which was a lot taking into account their ages and the fact that many had never worked with this type of materials.
