The Rajasthan circuit - Day 10 - On the way to Jantar Mantar, Jaipur - The 24th of November 2012

(...)

As we finished the visit and were heading towards the Jantar Mantar we came across a wedding procession where the groom and other guests wearing the "sherwani" (ethnic dress) proudly rode decorated horses precedeed by a group o musicians and followed by a group of potential friends and relatives singing an dancing. Though it was a brief "encounter" it was an interesting experience as to what traditional wedding rituals in Rajasthan are about.

We then visited a textile factory where we were shown some of the still used traditional  textile printing and carpet making techniques.Once we walked into the factory shop I decided to have a two-piece attire  tailored to measure to be later delivered at the hotel.
