After having had quite a restless night we decided that Cidade Velha was the ideal place to spend the day at. We got on a public transport from Sucupira fairly early in the morning and once we arrived at the heart of Cidade Velha we strolled around the bay heading towrads the Church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, which my friends had the chance to visit because of a religious ceremony going on then.
As we made our way to the restaurant we were going to have lunch at I came across an Art exhibition by an old friend of mine I hadn't seen for a while, Brazão, which we ended up going to and really enjoyed not only because of the theme, but particularly because of the material which he used for his artistic pieces.
Lunch was very special, as it always is, because of the "Caldo de peixe à moda de São Nicolau" (fish stew done in the typical way of São Nicolau island) and soon after thanks to an unexpected bout of creativity on the part of Inês we were given the opportunity of right there and then see her on a promising display of fashion as she wore the tissues she had bought locally in a catwalk mode.
Before we got onto a local public transport to take us back to Sucupira we still visited the Cathedral and witnessed a funeral parade from the distance.
