Isfahan, Iran - Day 5 - Just strolling around; a special dinner at Hamid's - The 20th of August 2019

We decided to spend the rest of our days just living as Iranians do - leading a normal routine life - getting together with people and just enjoying the flow of events. Before we headed to the Armenian quarter to be with our sibling friends, Mashad and Maryam we strolled around the Hasht Behesht area where a procession-like parade was going on in the name of the Imam Ali.

We went back to a shopkeeper's we had recently met and whom we enjoyed talking to before having a pause, where we ended up meeting a young cook, who is studying English fervently using a "1.100 words you need to know" book written by an Iranian professor. I managed to read through a few of the pages and was astonished to realise that this young cook will soon turn into an English poet, once most of the expressions were either too formal for day-to-day conversation or rarely used. I commended both the author and the "student though for the effort  of putting into writting and learning such expressions - the truth is that anything done in the name of personal progress is worth it, irrespective of the immediate use it may have.

Dinner at one of the Toghyan brother's house was a real treat. The dinner chosen plate was an elaborate traditional plate with chestnuts and pomegranate, which I adore. Apart from the food we also had the chance of meeting the in-laws - an absolutely adorable couple, whom we engaged in conversation till gone eleven in the evening.
