The 7 day circuit in Panama - Day 4 (morning) - The Soberania rainforest Park - The 25th of April 2018

Popular with birdwatchers the Soberania Park, a tropical humid forest covering 22,104 hectares and considered one of the best places to see tropical birds, did exceed my expectations.

I really enjoyed observing several species of birds, among which I would refer the humming birds, a few strange insects, like the "helicopteros", fragile looking ants carrying leaves on their backs which were clearly twice their size and even the poison arrow frogs, which we came across with as we were making our way to the tower.

The historical traits, some of which dating back to the 16th century were quite interesting and although hiking was difficult at times it was worth the effort, particularly when it lead to waterfalls and natural pools.
