Having reached the Hotel fairly early in the evening I ventured into the streets around the Hotel, so as to visit the Church of Carmen which we had passed by several times on the way from and to the Hotel.
Having been inspired by the late 14th century Gothic style of Toledo, its intricate outside together with its interior tile glass work and altar were really worth looking at. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmen its construction is said to have been initiated by the Congregation of the Carmelites in 1947.
I went back to the hotel and walked in the opposite direction till I reached one of the main commercial streets, but feeling uninspired to buy anything specifically got back to the hotel to admire the things I had bought at the Emberas early during the day instead.
