Upon leaving the village whose old walls we could still see we drove to Jolfa, a former outstanding Armenian city and now one of the most important border towns for the Islamic Republic of Iran, where we would be spending the night at a tourist inn. The landscape was once more memorable, I must say.
Despite the fact that we were lodged at a two star hotel the room was cosy and the meal we had was as good as any other we had had at other high ranking hotels. We had covered 250 kilometres during the day so we all felt quite tired.
