The Myanmar discovery circuit - Day 10 (morning cont.) - Yangon, Art gallery visit - The 21st of November 2015

We walked into an Art gallery primarily to relax for a while and thus avoid the extreme heat but I ended up getting interested in the exhibition of acrylic paintings in display having been taken by the wide variety of different styles and artistic approaches having therefore photographed some of them.

"Up and coming"  by Myat Co

"Deep inside"  by Maw Thu Da Nu

"Rain" by Soe Soe Labutta

"Unfolding news" by K. Kyaw

"Capricorn" by Win Pe

"Life at the Tea shop" by Yan Naing Tun

"Turn back" by Kaung Paing

"A flowing together" by Nay Aung Shu

"Silent sweat" by Than Kyaw Htay

Prices ranged from a mere 1,4500 kyats to 3,250 with just one reaching a higher price of 7,400 kyats, which was amazingly lower than what one maight pay for a similar painting in Europe. I did enjoy the cultural "stop-over" and felt like staying longer to further explore the part of the gallery I didn't have time to see ... but our schedule was rather tight so we had to "move on".
