Bordeaux - Day 3 (morning) - The 1st of December 2013

We got up very early with the intent of walking along the river front in the opposite direction to the one we had been taking almost everyday towards the Quatier des Charterons in order to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Unaware that it would only open at eleven on Sunday we showed up at its door too early, which rather than upset us allowed the two of us to stroll around the prosperous streets of the once richly commerce area.

Among its several outstanding buildings  were the 1796 Hotel Fenwick with its embedded in sculpted ships, the Bourse Maritime, the Neo-classic temple built in 1835 by a group of protestants in the commercial business, the open market now turned into an Art Gallery and the St. Louis Church whose façade was worth being looked at thoroughly.
