My 19 Day Iranian Azerbaijan circuit - From the Caspian rives to Tabriz and Takht-e Soleyman - Day 18 - Sanandaj - Friday Mosque; Salar Saeid House and Asef Mansion; on the way to Kermânshâh - The 26th of May 2017

Our scheduled visits for the last day of our Iranian Azerbaijan circuit included the Friday Mosque, whose decorated tile design did catch my attention once more. From it we walked into Salar Saeid House turned into the city Museum and finally the Asef Mansion, dating back to the Safavid period and later completed during the Qajar and Pahlavi periods, housing a Museum dedicated to the Kurd culture.

I enjoyed every visit, though I must confess I felt emotional all day through, just trying to digest the fact that our trip to Iran would soon finish the moment we reached Teheran via Kermânshâh, which because of a last moment flight alteration had been anticipated, so every little detail seemed to touch me even more. I hardly ate, despite the tasty food and beautifully decorated atmosphere of the restaurant we had lunch at.

Part of the afternoon was spent on the way to Kermânshâh airport where the weight of the return would soon be felt.
