Though I have never been very keen on cartoons or cartoon-like drawings and paintings I consider the around five hundred drawings, once believed to have been lost, done by the Luso German Emmerico Hartwick Nunes to be very good, not only because of the body movement and facial expressions conveyed but also the insight into many of the historical and social atmosphere in 1910 through to 1020, which corresponds to the finest period of his graphic production shown at this temporary exhibition, organised in ten different thematic sections.
