Once the visit to the Convent of Santa Catalina was finished and because we still had a couple of hours before dinner, Marie Hélène and I decided to go back to the city centre to find out that the main square was still crowded with hundreds of people strolling around the little park surrounding the main fountain right in front of the Cathedral or even praying in one of the side churches on the way to the Cercado district.
Sunset "fell upon" us abruptly and we soon had to make our way back to the San Agustin Monastery hostal where we were staying at.
The fact that we would be having a five hour bus trip with very few stops along the way the following day made us decide (Marcial, Helen, Marie Hélène, Antoine, Marilyn - seen underneath from left to right - and I) on an early evening meal and an equally early night sleep, so as to get ready to "endure" the inconvenience of the forthcoming long hours ahead until reaching Puno.
