We (Wanda, Rosa, Rui, João and I) reached Praia fairly late on the 8th of February, having driven to Calheta the following morning, thanks to the the Mayor of Calheta who had especially provided our transportation.
Prior to having left Hotel Santa Maria in the heart of Praia, where we would be lodged whilst in the capital city we took some photos, just to acknowledge that fact.

I took around one hour and a half with Rosa's help to have all the children's presents spread in one of our bedrooms identified by their names, so as to make it easier for us to hand them out, whilst the children were in the school Carnival parade.
We felt the children's Carnival parade wouldn't finish but after lunch time, but we were wrong, because as we were having our midday meal some children came around to tell us that the parade was still going on at the Velhinho Rodrigues School, so we headed there to find out that the parade had just finished, though we still managed to see some of "our" little girls.

We soon headed back to the Pension with a few children who decided to collect their Christmas presents straight away.
