Eurocontrol courses of this nature always seem to provide a one time opportunity to share different experiences with the various member States delegates attending them, as well as further develop one's teaching and learning skills and challenge one's capability in regards to the ongoing upgrading Aviation demands.
I had always been to Instilux in Luxembourg, this being the first time I attended a course in Brussels and I must confess I was impressed with the Eurocontrol premises ... its wide corridors ... the light ... the presence of plants almost everywhere ... the beauty of cosy and secluded corners, particularly the ones out in the inner gardens.
"Volatile" as some of the "friendships" we develop in these training courses might be ... some of the invaluable moments will certainly linger on ... and so will one of Lord Chesterfield's quotations on "learning" ...
"Never seem more learned than the people you are with. Wear your learning like a pocket watch and keep it hidden. Do not pull it out to count the hours, but give the time when you are asked".
