The 6 day trip to Denmark and the United Kingdom - around Rosenborg Slot and Kongens Nytorv - the 20th of June 2012

(...)

We then walked along Gothersgade turning right towards the Bothanical Gardens at the end of which we finally located the Rosenborg Have. There were quite a few people in the gardens and though we felt like joining them, so as to relax for a bit, we  still continued walking.

We were unfortunate not to have arrived in time to visit the Royal Place of 1606, said to be one of the most visited attractions in Copenhagen. It is said to contain thousands of Royal objects, namely the Crown jewels and other Royal regalia.

It was rather nice to look at from the outside and the fact that it was surrounded by gardens gave it a special "touch". We realised (to our surprise) that the Gardens only closed at midnight.

It was time to head back to the hotel, as we had had quite a long day, so we walked towards  Kongens Nytorv, where there was another Photo exhibition  right in the middle of the Square. Little did we know that two days later we would be watching part of this same  exhibition somewhere else.

By the time we reached the hotel we were simply exhausted ... (I don't even remember having had anything to eat for dinner) it had been an almost non-stop twelve-hour walking "adventure"...
