As the elephant guardians heading the group of quite a few elephants started walking down the village central street towards the river it was quite a sight. We were all holding onto our cameras to try to get some good shots, but it was hard as there were too many people in front and pushing us from the back. It wasn't until the elepnats reached the river that we finally managed to move about and take some reasonably good photos.
It was soon over and so we started to disperse ... in , just as when we gathered moments before.
We found ourselves on the bus again, this time driving towards the capital city, where we would be having lunch before heading to Negombo.
