Diary of an emotional trip to Calheta de São Miguel (the morning of Day 2 - cont.) - The 12th of February 2012.

Prior to having handed out the presents to the girls one of the "godmothers" was given a present herself - the visit of her daughter's protegé Marquinho, so soon after she left on the way to his parents' to get to know them and hand him out the presents herself on behalf of her daughter Sonia and her husband.

Note:
Rivia and Lou can't be seen with their presents, once they were given them the previous day.
Veronica, Claudina and Filomena can't be seen on any photo but I know they were given their new books
Ana Bela and Ana Rita can't be seen on any photo either but I was told they were given the "spare" presents  I took the care of sending the moment I saw their extra names on the list I got from Sibylle, prior to the "godmotherss" having set off to Cape Verde.
Josseane was given the books I bought her later on, as nobody could find them among the  presents spread on the tables.
Luisa Ivete and Ineida can be seen in the previous article holding both the artistic works they made and the albums of photos I bought for them.

The girls were also given Carnival masks and presents for their mothers before leaving.

Before heading to Cutelo Miranda to celbrate Nate's birthday, the "godmothers" stopped at Manguinho to pay a visit to Ivanilde Elena's parents and Rivia's grandmother once I had asked them to. On the way they met Erica, who proudly showed them the bracelets and necklace she had already made with the plastic "pearls" she had got from her "godmother" Noelle.
