The temporary exhibition on Isfahan and its Art - NAV Portugal Training Centre premises - The opening day - the 15th of January 2018

Prior to the official opening I had three colleagues and former students exceptionally visit it, once they would have difficulties in being able to come afterwards due to working schedule limitations.

Invited guests for the opening day included former colleagues of mine who were retired, the actual head of the Training Centre and its administrative director, together with four external guests from the Air Force Academy, the Civil Aviation Institute and the Duty free shops. I was quite surprised not to see anyone from the Administration, though I would later realise several constrainsts had led to their absence.

I was quite satisfied with the fact that those who came enjoyed the exhibition and were particularly taken by what they learned about Iran and Isfahan in particular.

The exhibition on Isfahan and its Art - NAV Portugal Training Centre premises - Preparation - The 12th of January 2018

The idea was to guide the visitors through the main streets of Isfahan starting the city visit  at the main square and thus having the sellected photos organized that way. Traditional Isfahani and Iranian Art  would be introduced the moment visitors "reached" the  Bazaar and  a new adventure would start as each artefact would be explained.

The opening of the temporary exhibition would specifically be for invited guests and two films would be exhibited during the course of the the 2 weeks  it would be on.

As Ana and I finished having the room prepared for Monday's opening I sighed of relief. I had been nervous all week long but upon seeing what the exhibition room would look like I was finally happy.
