My two day adventure in Bilbao - Day 2 (morning still) - Along ria de Bilbao - The 30th of March 2014

(...)

I decided to stroll along the estuary of Bilbao, commonly known as the estuary of the rivers Nervion and Ibaizabal, and I did it in a rather slow and quiet pace, in order to make the most out of the forever changing views on both shores and let the shining sun warm up my walking venture.

Seventeen bridges span the banks of the estuary, among which some are considered to be rather exquisite, such as the pedestrian footbridge Zubizuri designed by Santiago Calatrava and the Princes of Spain bridge, also known as "La Salve".

The flower market reminded me that Spring was finally showing its face and its scent was a permanent presence till I reached the City Hall area.
