The Sri-Lanka circuit (The early hours of Day 1) - The 5th of December 2011 - Kuwait city international Airport

We reached Sri Lanka by  five in the morning, after what turned out to be a rather long and tiring flight odissey. We had left Lyon the previous night, having then boarded a Kuwait Airlines aircraft, which had to be refuelled at Rome Fiumicino prior to flying to Kuwait city, where we were supposed to board another flight.

As we were awaiting the flight which would later take us into Colombo Airport, I couldn't help noticing some amazingly creative children's sketches on the walls of Kuwait International airport, whose photographs I had to take.

As we were boarding the flight to Colombo a huge group of Sinhalese girls caught our attention, though we were not aware at the time that these were maids working in Kuwait just going back home for a short religious holiday.

As we  came out of the Customs at Colombo International airport we realised we still had to cover a 150 km distance to Sigiryia where we would be lodged for the next three days and despite being tired out we still seemed enthusiastic enough to cover that distance.
